Actress Linda Cardellini has been a longtime favorite of mine, ever since watching her star in the short-lived, but absolutely beloved 1999–2000 TV series Freaks and Geeks. When she was cast as Velma Dinkley in the early aughts Scooby Doo films, I knew that not only was that great casting, but Velma’s sex appeal was about to ratchet up several million notches—and Linda went on to prove me right. I’m not sure if Hot Velma became all the rage amongst cosplayers thanks solely to Linda’s portrayal, but I tend to think so. Jinkies! Zoinks! Like, just look at her, Scoob!
