Margot Monday

Monday morning check-in: yup, can confirm, still wolfish for Margot Robbie.

To help satisfy our collective Monday munchies, let’s enjoy these appetizing shots of Margot as Harley Quinn, from Suicide Squad (2016). That movie gets slammed a lot, but I’ll always have a soft spot for it, for several reasons—I even wrote about it for HiLoBrow six years ago. Chief among those reasons would be Margot, whose Harley feels definitive to me. At least in live action. Across three DCU films, she positively slayed in the role. I hope she gets to don the booty shorts again someday. Okay, I realize she probably won’t reprise her Debbie Harry-inspired outfit, as Harley’s fashion has evolved, but a guy can dream, no?

  1. Thank you Michael for some more beautiful pictures of Margot Robbie 🙂 Speaking of which, did you see Greta Gerwig’s Barbie yet cause that was a pretty creative film – one akin to Robert Altman’s Popeye, Warren Beatty’s Dick Tracy and Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim vs. The World among other examples 🙂 Shame that for all of Barbie’s nominations, it took home only one prize. Nevertheless, that prize was a deserved one for Best Song for Billie Eilish. Shame that Gerwig and Robbie did not get a Best Director and Best Actress nomination respectively. Once again, nevertheless, Robbie was nominated as co-producer on Barbie and Gerwig was nominated (alongside her partner Noah Baumbach) for Best Adapted Screenplay 🙂 Also, I can totally see the resemblance between Deborah Harry’s Vulture outfit and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn outfit from Suicide Squad 🙂 I also want to say that thank goodness she was casted as Naomi Lapaglia in Martin Scorsese’s 2013 hit The Wolf of Wall Street because no other actress could have pulled it off the way she did 🙂
