It likely comes as no surprise to anyone, but cheesecake is the official dessert of the Starfire Lounge. There is no decadent sweet treat I love more than cheesecake, plus it’s long been used to as a shorthand for sexy pinup modeling, which we’ve been known to feature here at the Lounge here and there, or there and here.
Marilyn Monroe is always a Very Important Pinup (VIP) here at the Lounge. She also won the “Miss Cheescake of the Year” award in 1951 and was crowned “Cheesecake Queen of 1952.” Both awards were given by Stars and Stripes magazine. Seeing as today is National Cheesecake Day, why not celebrate with a tasty slice of this delicious treat while gazing upon another tasty slice of cheesecake?
