The animated series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? debuted fifty-five years ago this past September. The Hanna-Barbera classic became a Gen X touchstone for many of us, and spawned a successful franchise that continues to thrive today, with more series, movies, comic books, and merchandise than you can shake a Scooby Snack at.
Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby are pop culture icons. I’m a huge fan, which is why I took immediate notice this past Halloween when musical sister act Halle and Chloe Bailey suited up as extremely sexy versions of Daphne and Velma, respectively. Okay, I probably took immediate notice because they were wearing silky smooth stockings fastened with garter belts, sky-high stripper heels, and clothes so tight they look like they’ve been painted on. In other words, the sight of Halle and Chloe in these getups made my eyes pop out of my head and had me exclaiming, “Jinkies!” and “Zoinks!” See for yourselves, then try to maintain your composure.
