A couple of years ago I wrote about my top five live-action superhero costumes. One of the costumes on that list was the cape/skirt/tights/thigh high boots combo worn by Melissa Benoit on the television series Supergirl. After seeing some images of her in the costume recently, I’ve been doing an awful lot of daydreaming about insanely hot she looks as Supergirl. To say Benoist looked anything short of spectacular in this kit would be lunacy. In that costume, she completely captured Supergirl’s best qualities: unabashed goodness and selfless heroism. Benoist looked both powerful and gorgeous in that getup.
The sexiness comes in part because Benoist is smoking hot, but also because wardrobe tailored the suit to fit her smoking hot body perfectly. Those thigh high boots and sheer black tights also added some serious sex appeal to the look. The tantalizingly generous views of Benoist’s drool-worthy thighs are enough to send me into orbit, my gawd.
Hard to believe Supergirl premiered ten years ago. Feels like just yesterday I watched that pilot episode as it aired. I didn’t end up sticking with the series for all six seasons, but I dipped in and out, mostly over the first several years. It was fairly standard CW superhero stuff and, truth be told, I was growing bored with their “Arrowverse” lineup, and superhero shows and movies, at that point anyway. Still, Benoist was so damn charming, and so perfectly cast as Kara/Supergirl, that I couldn’t help wanting more of the show, just to enjoy her in the role. One of these days I’ll slog through the whole series. After all, those thighs demand attention!
