We’ve reached the final calendar month of our year-long celebration of Julie London and her album, Calendar Girl. In “Warm December” Julie’s sensuous voice reminds us that she’ll keep us warm in December, and that’s just about the best Christmas gift anyone could wish for.
Clearly Julie is naturally toasty, because she’s half-naked again, this time for her Christmas-inspired pinup. She’s Santa’s sexy helper, delivering a mound full of gifts. The only gift we need, though, is Julie herself. What a treat it’s been to spend every month of 2023 listening to these scorching hot torch songs, sung by Ms. London in that inimitably cool and sexy voice.
Calendar Girl includes a bonus “thirteenth month” so keep your eyes peeled for that post, which I’ll probably make live later this month. The Calendar Girl posts started on a whim and turned out to be a fun exercise to look forward to each month. Sure, they were usually short and sweet, but it was always just a pleasure to spin Julie Londoner’s song of the month while preparing these posts. I hope you enjoyed spending each month of 2023 with Julie London as much as I did.
