It was a landmark moment in fashion history, and the nylon stocking quickly became associated with feminine beauty and allure. A wave of pinup girls in the ‘40s and ‘50s wore them, which cemented nylon stockings status as one of the sexiest of sexy garments. To this day, a woman in nylon stockings, preferably showing off the welts and garter belts, is the height of sexiness, and especially to pinup fans.
