Look. We don’t talk nearly enough about the smoking hot, legtastic, babetastic, statuesque beauty Paula Prentiss. The 5’10” American actress has legs from here to eternity and an absolutely gorgeous face that makes us think she truly was one of the most beautiful people in the world during her prime.
A little birdie just told us that March is National Reading Month—who knew?—so here’s Paula Prentiss at the right time and the right place, wearing an oversized men’s shirt and skimpy, tight shorts, while lounging seductively on a comfy couch, resting her luxuriously long legs on a stylish mid-century lamp, noshing on a crisp apple, and getting lost in a good book.
This photo set was for a LIFE magazine profile of Prentiss and her actor-director hubbie Richard Benjamin (AKA: One Lucky Sonuvabitch) sometime in the sixties. For all us book nerds, these shots of Prentiss are like manna from heaven. There’s just something about a beautiful woman in glasses that sets the heart racing. Paula looks undeniably smashable in these photographs. While she rarely showed a lot of skin in her films (she’s excellent in The Stepford Wives, among countless other great roles she nailed), Prentiss posed for some sexy photo shoots in the early part of her career, including this one. We look forward to sharing a few more in the future because, for our money, she’s one of the great beauties of her time.
And did we mention she’s 5’10” tall?! Yowza. Hawt.
