Marilyn Monday

It’s Monday, so how about some more Marilyn Monroe to ease us all on down the road this week? Saturday would also have been Marilyn’s 98th birthday, so she’s well deserving of another visit to the Starfire Lounge.

Marilyn’s performer’s outfit in There’s No Business Like Show Business (1954) bears a striking resemblance to the classic, sexy French maid’s dress.

You know what Marilyn rocking fishnets means: don’t be surprised if I recycle this post for a future Fishnet Friday.

As always, she’s beauty and sex appeal personified. The most stunning American icon of all time.

Obviously we can’t say goodbye before allowing our resident French maid Yvette the last word.

Yvette: Obviously, as ze French maid of record here at ze Starfire Lounge, I couldn’t pass zis post up when I found it in the wreckage you call a drafts vault. Ah, Marilyn in a French maid style getup, c’est magnifique!

    1. Oh John, I totally understand the desire to watch Gentlemen Prefer Blondes over and over again. It brings me so much joy! I loved your Marilyn tribute! I’ve had very little time to comment lately, but hopefully I’ll find some soon and head back over to leave some thoughts.
