May the 4th Be With You

Like many Gen Xers, Star Wars was a huge part of my childhood. Between the classic, original trilogy, the Kenner action figures, and the Marvel Comics, Star Wars definitely defined a large part of my childhood.

She could lure me to the Dark Side of the Force any day.

All these years later and people are still crazy for the Star Wars. The magic of it all dissipated for me once it became a “brand” but I’m glad newer generations still dig it. The twenty-first century stuff is not my bag, but good for them. I had my time in the double-suns of Tatooine, so to speak, and it was good while it lasted. Sometimes you move on and that’s okay.

Remember kids: Han shot first.

  1. I grew up watching the original trilogy and seeing the prequel trilogy in theaters. I still love them all, but Disney lost me with the sequel trilogy. Though you can still find good movies or shows if you know what to look for.
