I recently stumbled on this awesome image for the 1986 clip flick Bad Girls in the Movies. According to IMDb, it’s “a compilation tape with scenes from and trailers for films with female juvenile delinquent and/or criminal themes.” In other words, where can I get a copy?

Well, VHS Collector notes that it was released on VHS by Lightning Video in 1987 and runs 56 minutes. So does that mean it had a theatrical release in ‘86? I doubt it. This thing screams video-only release. The Audiovisual Identity Database informs us that Lightning Video “was a division of Vestron Video used to distribute B and made-for-TV movies during the 1980s.”

This tape would certainly be a cool curio to own, so I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for it on the old eBay and elsewhere. Beyond the hints on the back of the box, I’m super curious to see which bad girl exploitation gems are included in this clip fest. As we all know, it’s a genre I really love.
Meanwhile, let’s just bask in the exploitation glory of this deliciously sleazy box art.
