Happy Halloween from Halloween’s resident boy-crazy strumpet, Lynda. Boy howdy, she had a spectacular set of knockers. I dare say her death scene is one of the hottest ever filmed—yes, that’s what I said. From those perky nipples and breasts standing at attention to her exquisite “oh face” and orgasmic moaning while bedsheet-ghost-with-glasses Michael Myers strangles her with a phone cord, Lynda dies as she lived: totally hot.
Also, here’s to PJ Soles for bringing Lynda to life (well, until her death). Soles is in the cult movie hall of fame thanks to this role and her work in Carrie (1976) and Rock ‘n’ Roll High School (1979). With Lynda, she really set the template for a reoccurring character in slasher movies forever after: the fun-loving, promiscuous friend who rarely stays alive until the final act. Soles set the bar incredibly high, and I’m not just saying that because she flashed us during her death scene, although that sure didn’t hurt.
*Fun fact: according to the Halloween Series Wiki, Lynda says the word “totally” eleven times in the film.

Thank you, John! No plans for a Barbara post but she’s definitely one of my favorite scream queens, so you never know. Also, she’s aging like a fine wine.
