The color red can signify love, lust, passion, sex, and eroticism, among other intense emotions and experiences. Marilyn Monroe embodied all of those things, no matter what color she wore, but as the Lady in Red she sure always stoked the flames of our hearts with extra intensity. From photographer Milton Greene’s “Red Dress Sitting”—from which come the first two photos below—to her various films, Marilyn always looked volcanically hot in various shades of red.








That third pic is my favorite. Just “Wow!”.

I love all of these pictures of Marilyn Monroe 🙂 Thank you so much for doing a post on her Michael 🙂 I especially love it that you included her red sparkly dress from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes opening number 🙂 As you know, it is my 18th favorite film of all time 🙂
