Margaret Ann “Peggy” Knudsen (1923–1980) was a Minnesota girl who first ventured to Broadway and then across country for a Hollywood movie career. While she had small and bit parts in several big films, like A Stolen Life and The Big Sleep, Peggy largely carved out a career in B movies, where her midwestern beauty shined no matter how schlocky the material. As her IMDb biography notes, “A knockout curvaceous blonde screen siren with a smart, confident air, Peggy Knudsen had the charisma to make it in Hollywood. Somehow, stardom eluded her.”

The shapely smokeshow eventually moved into television roles before retiring from acting at a young age due to debilitating arthritis. During her prime silver screen years, she often played tough dames or “the other woman” roles, probably because she was such a sultry knockout that anyone in their right mind would want her. I mean, look at this babe:

Yowza. Definitely worthy of the Bombshell moniker.

Peggy is a sumptuous slice of Hollywood cheesecake, what an era that was for bodacious broads!
