The Art of the Ad: Fly the Friendly Skies, Part 2

One of our earliest “Art of the Ad” entries focused on the Golden Age of Air Travel. Well, almost three years later, we’re back with more stewardesses and passengers happily flying the friendly skies. Air travel was so vastly different then, so much more free spirited and less rigid. One need only look at the hot pants and miniskirts worn by smiling sky hostesses to see just how much things have changed. Comparing today’s astronomical ticket prices to more affordable prices from earlier eras is another sure-fire way to measure that change.

So, kick back and relax, while we take a leisurely stroll through the past, when air travel was king and stewardesses were queens of the sky.

I’ll just declare it now: hottest stewardess ever. Those legs could cure world hunger. Stunning!
And in a minute another hot sky hostess will pop out of that cake.
“Love, Southwest style” sounds delightful.
Southwest and its stewardesses loved us, they really, REALLY loved us!
Is she using a calculator? Pre-iPhone smart babe for the win.
Low fare magic? How about high hemline sorcery? Yowza.
As Peter Boyle in Taxi Driver (1976) said with reverence, “California, they’re way ahead out there.”
We’re feeling that lift right now. Hey-o!
Sex sells, kids!
No, no, no, not my mother. She’s my uber-hot stepmom, but she hates my father and seems incredibly turned on by my arcane knowledge of comic books and science fiction. Yeah, baby!
With legs like that, she can have all the room she wants.
Let’s see the leg space from every angle, please. For research purposes, of course.
Fly Australia’s Ansett and this jaw-dropping smokeshow will have sex with you. Guaranteed!
