Just two days after celebrating the 35th anniversary of Frankie and Johnny, it’s time to commemorate the 37th anniversary of another Michelle Pfeiffer masterpiece, The Fabulous Baker Boys. October is a huge month for Michelle’s filmography. Not only are there the anniversary dates, but it’s also the month I always rewatch Halloween-season classics like What Lies Beneath, The Witches of Eastwick, and Wolf. Basically, October is a glorious month to be a Michelle Pfeiffer pfan.
So here’s to Susie Diamond and her partners Jack and Frank Baker, who first graced screens on this day in 1989. The Fabulous Baker Boys has obviously been a major inspiration for much of my Pfeiffer writing over the years, and I fully expect it to continue to be forever.
