Pop till You Drop

If you’re reading this blog, chances are good you love movies, and if you love movies, chances are good you love to munch on popcorn while watching movies. Well, today is National Popcorn Day, and there’s no better way to celebrate than getting an extra large tub of the stuff—slathered in butter, of course—before curling up to watch a movie. That’s because popcorn and movies go together like peanut butter and chocolate.

I absolutely love popcorn, especially when it’s paired with movies. The terrific 1991 cult horror film Popcorn fittingly sets the majority of the action inside a movie theater, which is all sorts of perfect for a movie named Popcorn. The film is a love letter to movies, especially B movies, movie lovers, and the experience of going to the cinema. One of these days I’ll do a “Lost and Found” on it.
