For members of Generation X, there was no shortage of stunning celebrity crushes to obsess over during our childhoods. From bewitching beauties to angelic stunners, we Gen Xers were crushing like crazy on celebrities every time we turned on the television or went to the movies. One such crush came courtesy of I Dream of Jeannie’s resident babe in a bottle, played by the gorgeous Barbara Eden, who turns 93 today.
It was the swinging sixties and Ms. Eden was more than game to show off her jaw-dropping figure in a multitude of micro-miniskirts, episode after episode. She continued her hot streak as a sexy MILF in Harper Valley PTA (both the TV movie and the resulting series), in which she continued to show off her, um, extraordinary assets. Fans across the world remain forever grateful.

This is a timely post for me, as just last week I decided that I was now on Team Jeannie after being on Team Samantha for most of my life. Jeannie just seems like she’s so much more fun than Sam.

Ah that’s a tough call, for sure. I’ve alway been Team Sam as well, and that lifelong crush on Elizabeth Montgomery is absurdly powerful. However, Eden was SO HOT, so I’ll continue to crush on them both.

Barbara Eden is in that same class as Catherine Deneuve, beauty that ages like a fine wine and looks like it never ages at all. I was a little surprised when she asked the IMDb to stop listing her age when her birthday rolled around, but I don’t hold it against her too much.
