Kids today have no idea, but from the late sixties on into the eighties, few beauties of the silver screen were as revered as Jacqueline Bisset. Not only was Bisset a captivating talent, she was also an absolute stunner. From Bullitt (1968) to Airport (1970) to Murder on the Orient Express (1974) and Class (1983), to name but four of Bisset’s films, the English rose was always an elegant and comforting presence onscreen.
Jacqueline Bisset has worked steadily ever since her peak years of movie stardom, with over one-hundred acting credits over her illustrious, near-sixty year career. In honor of her eightieth birthday today, here’s a sampling of Bisset’s otherworldly beauty on full display.
Finally, it’s worth noting that Bissett sported what might be the most famous wet t-shirt in movie history in The Deep (1977). This moment was immortalized for all time on the absurdly memorable poster. Sadly, the film itself is a snooze fest, but Bissett sure rocked those underwater scenes! Plus, to coincide with the film’s release, Newsweek declared Jacqueline Bisset “the most beautiful film actress of all time.” Certainly, she could vie for that crown any day.

Nice Birthday tribute there. Over the summer I picked up a couple Blu Rays from a sale the Radiance Films website was having, and one of them was an Italian Murder Mystery film called The Sunday Woman that Ms. Bisset costarred in with Marcello Mastroianni and Jean-Louis Trintignant that curious to check out as I do love a good ‘Who dun it?” story. Jacqueline Bisset is up there with Catherine Deneuve in the aging like fine wine category, they both still look incredible.
