April 22nd was the late pin-up queen Bettie Page’s 103rd birthday. April 25th was National Lingerie Day. That’s pretty good almost-synchronicity. Has anyone ever done more for lingerie’s enduring popularity than Bettie? I think not. An entire subculture of retro pin-up models exists because of Bettie and continues to be influenced by her lingerie modeling. Fun fact: Bettie handmade a lot of the sexy undergarments she wore for her pin-up modeling.
Even though we’re a few days late for National Lingerie Day, we’re excited to present the inimitable smoke show Ms. Bettie Mae Page—and she’s doing her pin-up thang in nothing but lingerie, of course.
