I recently stumbled on these fabulous images of the striking Italian actress, showgirl, and singer Franca Gondofli and, after picking my jaw up from the floor, immediately looked her up online. There’s very little about Franca out there, it seems. Born in Messina in 1932, and apparently still alive today, Franca’s career in Italian cinema was brief, lasting from just 1952–1963, according to Wikipedia.
So I can’t tell you much about the statuesque beauty Franca Gondolfi, but I can share these stills with you, which quite frankly prove that Ms. G. was indeed Bombshell material. I’m not sure what these stills are from (a film?), nor do I find many if any other Bombshell-type photos of Gondolfi online, mostly just pictures of her with her husband and kids. So I wonder if she’s reverted as a Bombshell in Italy? Based on these images, she should be, that’s for sure.
