As one year ends and another begins, it’s time to raise a glass—or a gigantic bottle—and toast to new beginnings. Or just drink away your sorrows after a lousy year. That’s acceptable on this day, too. Happy New Year, everyone!

Christmas Leftovers
I hope you all enjoyed a merry, and restful, Christmas this year. As a little post-Christmas gift, here’s an odds ‘n’ sods collection of leftover stuff I had accumulated but didn’t get to post before December 25th. This entire week between Christmas and New Year’s Day is still all about the Yuletide vibes anyway, so … Continue reading Christmas Leftovers
Holiday Shopping
As a master procrastinator, I’ve left myself with very little time to do Christmas shopping. No surprise, as I have been repeating this pattern annually for most of my adult life. While I’ve selected a bunch of new images to share here, you might … Continue reading Random Image Dump #17: Naughty or Nice Edition

Lost and Found: Don’t Open till Christmas
I love Christmas horror. Every December I revisit several favorites. If I don’t, the holiday season just doesn’t feel quite as jolly! Bob Clark’s classic Black Christmas (1974) is not only my favorite Yuletide horror movie, but also quite possibly my favorite horror movie of all time. I like to discover new films, or new, … Continue reading Lost and Found: Don’t Open till Christmas
Dangerous Curves Ahead
As we move closer to the end of the year, many cities, towns, and municipalities in cold weather regions are trying to cram in as much last-minute roadwork as they can before the snow flies. That’s not to say they won’t be working during the winter, but this time of year always feels like a … Continue reading Dangerous Curves Ahead
